1. Controlled Origin & Species

We only buy from regulated wild-harvesting bases in Liaoning, Gansu, Sichuan and Shaanxi. Only aerial stems and leaves of Epimedium pubescens are utilized, whereas mixed species, old woody stems and dead leaves are absolutely prohibited.

2. Differentiation by grade;

Premium Dietary/Medicinal Grade: Fresh non-lignified spring/summer harvest, zero mold, minimum pesticide/heavy metals, utilized for 5%–10% icariin standardized extracts.

Economical Ratio Grade: Mature late-season stems and processing by-products; economical for 4:1 and 10:1 crude extracts.

Organic Grade: USDA/EU certified pesticide-free zones and specialized processing lines to avoid cross-contamination.

3. Low Temperature Drying:

All the materials are shade dried at 40–45°C to protect the integrity of icariin and flavonoids. No direct sun light is allowed.

Q: Can you confirm the species and provide traceability?

A: Yes.  Only the aerial portions of Epimedium koreanum and Epimedium sagittatum are used. Each batch is supported with HPTLC fingerprinting and harvest traceability paperwork.
