Reishi Mushroom Extract is made from fresh, ripe fruiting bodies harvested at the appropriate time, dried, and then subjected to hot water extraction (or alcohol extraction), vacuum concentration, and spray drying. This further concentrates and purifies Ganoderma lucidum powder. Its main components are Ganoderma triterpenes and Ganoderma polysaccharides.
It vary significantly due to the different raw materials and extraction processes used. Extracts from Ganoderma lucidum fruiting bodies with spores are of higher quality, while Ganoderma lucidum from wood harvested for spores is of lower quality, and Ganoderma lucidum extracted from bagged materials is of lower quality. Regarding the extraction process, water extraction primarily extracts the crude polysaccharides within the fruiting bodies, while alcohol extraction primarily extracts the triterpenes within the fruiting bodies
