Application
Hepatoprotective Drug Preparations: Protodioscin can significantly inhibit drug-induced (carbon tetrachloride or paracetamol) and alcohol-induced increases in transaminase and lactate dehydrogenase activity, lowering liver indices and exerting its hepatoprotective effects. It can also increase SOD activity, decrease MDA levels, and increase GSH levels, inhibiting drug-induced hepatic lipid peroxidation. It can also reduce TG and TC levels, inhibiting alcohol-induced hepatic steatosis.
Anti-Drug-Resistant Bone Tumor Drugs: It can effectively inhibit osteosarcoma cell proliferation and induce apoptosis. It also exhibits significant inhibitory effects and apoptosis in human osteosarcoma cell lines U2OS, HOS, MNNGHOS, 143B, MG63, SJSA1, and G292, as well as primary cultured osteosarcoma cells ZOS and ZOSM.
