what is Rhubarb extract ?
Rhubarb extract is an extract of the dried roots and rhizomes of Rheum palmatum L., Rheum tanguticum Maxim. ex Balf., or Rheum officinale Baill., plants of the Polygonaceae family. Among them, rhubarb glycoside is a natural active ingredient that is widely present in many plants, especially in plants of the Rheum family. Rhubarb glycoside is a flavonoid compound that contains multiple phenolic hydroxyl groups and sugar groups in its molecular structure.
